About Kinesiology

Kinesiology traces its roots back to the 1940’s even before Chiropractor, George Goodheart, developed Applied Kinesiology in 1964. Over the years, a harmonious blend of Western techniques and Eastern wisdom has shaped kinesiology into a holistic approach to well-being, helping relieve stress, muscular and nervous disorders, allergies, nutritional deficiencies, learning difficulties, behavioural issues, and emotional challenges.

It is important to emphasize that Kinesiologists do not engage in diagnosis. Instead, our focus is on correcting the underlying energies in the body that are contributing to the current state of discomfort, stress, or illness. This distinctive approach empowers the body, enabling it to actively participate in its innate self-healing processes.

In contrast to other modalities like acupuncture, which mainly address energy blockages, Kinesiology uses the gentle technique of muscle monitoring to bypass mental stories and beliefs, accessing the subconscious mind to gather detailed information. This, then enables us to identify imbalances and blockages within the body’s emotional, biochemical, structural and spiritual energy systems.

These imbalances and blockages may include thoughts, memories or processes related to past emotional trauma, injury, stress or nutritional factors. Though not currently in your conscious awareness, these elements may be influencing your present thoughts, feelings and behaviours, potentially hindering your ability to heal and move forward.

Non-invasive techniques including acupressure massage, meridian running, chakra pulsing, emotional clearing and the vibrational energy of sound or flower essences are used to release these blockages and restore the body’s natural energy flow, facilitating the healing journey. This ultimately paves the way for you to rediscover your health, happiness, and a renewed enthusiasm for life—an invitation to find your joy.

What can I expect at my initial consultation?

What can I expect at my Initial Kinesiology Session

Prior to your initial consultation you will complete a New Client Intake Form which will include your personal contact details, medical history and details outlining your family dynamics, personal/social and work relationships.

During the initial session, there will be an opportunity to discuss all areas of concern and what you would like to achieve. You will then lie fully clothed on a table and receive a Kinesiology Balance focused on reducing some stress and addressing your priority issue following the guidance of your body.

To prepare for your visit, please give some thought to the following:

  • What is the main reason for your visit?
  • What would you like to work on during your session?
  • What are your expectations of your session?
  • Are you ready to take full responsibility for your health and wellness, to effect change?
  • What new possibilities and goals in health and happiness would you like to create in your life, going forward?

How many sessions will I need?

As we are all unique individuals with very different stressors and circumstances, the number of sessions will depend on various factors, including the specific ailment, the duration of disharmony, and your commitment to embracing positive changes in your life. The human body is usually very responsive to kinesiology and improvements can often be noticed after the first visit, however I’ve found most clients notice positive shifts and improvements in their health with 3-5 sessions. 

Consistent follow-up appointments can be instrumental in fostering substantial transformations and maintaining momentum towards rediscovering joy and living your best life so I offer a 3 session package for New Clients to get you started.

Each person’s experience will be different, you may experience a sense of calmness, improved clarity, inner peace and a feeling of lightness. Depending on the specific issue addressed, it's not uncommon to be relieved of pain, experience increased energy levels, or notice positive changes in your responses to stress.

The changes may be immediate or unfold gradually over the following days and weeks, depending on the nature of the issues addressed during the session. To provide ongoing support, I'll check in with you three days after your session to ensure your well-being and address any questions you may have.
