What is Access Bars?

Access Bars is a gentle, hands-on energy healing technique developed by Gary Douglas in the 1990s. It involves lightly touching 32 specific points on the head—known as “Bars”—each connected to different areas of life, such as money, control, creativity, relationships, and healing.
These points store the electromagnetic components of thoughts, emotions, past traumas, fears, and limiting beliefs. By gently stimulating them, Access Bars helps to clear out energy blockages and dissolves the 'monkey mind', similar to defragging a computer. This allows you to see situations and solutions more clearly.
It’s about shifting from limitation to possibility—so you can live with more ease, joy, and peace.

What to expect during an Access Bars session?

You’ll lie comfortably, fully clothed, on a healing table. I’ll begin by gently touching points on your head, feet, and hands to help balance your energy and ensure it is flowing freely.
The focus then shifts to lightly holding the 32 Bars points in various combinations.
Some clients enjoy sharing what they’re feeling or asking questions during the session. Others prefer to simply relax in silence—either way is perfect.
Each session is unique. You may feel warmth, tingling, or a floating sensation. Some people see colours or images, and many drift into a peaceful, sleep-like state.
Sessions typically last between 60 and 90 minutes and this process can be undertaken as a one-off, monthly or weekly experience.
How will I feel after an Access Bars session?

The Bars will continue to run for a while after the session ends, so it’s important to drink plenty of water to support the energy flow.
Most people feel lighter, calmer, and more centred at the end of the session. In the days and weeks following, you may notice emotional shifts, increased clarity, or new perspectives and possibilities emerging.
